With life getting busier every week and new bars, restaurants and events opening every month, staying on top can be tricky. So here’s a round up of this month’s hottest happenings in and around the local area…­­­­­
 
What? Tennerfest 2019
Where? Various, Jersey
When? 1st October – 11th November 2019
Jersey can look forward to six weeks of great meals at fixed prices. Restaurateurs on both islands are offering menus starting at £10 with £12.50, £15.00, £17.50 and £20 options. This enables the restaurants to offer a wide and exciting selection of food during this promotion. Why not come and sample some of Jersey's delicious locally grown and farmed produce at unbelievable prices.
 
What? Jersey Rally 2019
Where? Various, Jersey
When? 11th – 12th October 2019
This year’s Jersey Rally is tipped to be the best yet. Watch as WRC to Club level rally cars race their way through 120 miles of the island's lanes. Over 170 drivers and navigators, at least the same number of support crew, around 300 marshals, 100 or so officials and scores of spectators. High adrenaline action for all the family watching and cheering.
 
What? La Faîs'sie d'Cidre - Cider Festival
Where? Hamptonne Country Life Museum, La Rue de la Patente, Jersey
When? 12th – 13th October 2019
Everyone's favourite autumnal event brings together communities, volunteers, and of course apple and cider experts to celebrate the apple harvest and make cider together. With live music, creative activities, dancing, competitions, poetry, Genuine Jersey stalls, great food, great company, and a fantastic atmosphere, there's lots to do, things to learn, people to meet, and fun to be had!
 
What? Halloween Spooktacular!
Where? La Hougue Farm, La Grande Route de St. Pierre, Jersey
When? 26th October – 3rd November 2019
Spooky fun for all the family, included in your entry fee! Haunted House, Little House of horrors for the smaller visitors, and haunted maze are just some of the activities on offer. Get dressed up and join in the fun for one of the best Halloween events on the island. The park has great activities too, to ensure all ages enjoy their visit.
 
What? Jersey Bulls vs. Sandhurst Town
Where? Springfield Stadium
When? 5th October 2019  
Come and watch the Jersey Bulls and enjoy the family atmosphere at our very own Springfield Stadium. Following the route taken by Guernsey FC eight years ago, they have joined Combined Counties Division One, the 10th tier of English football. Come cheer on and support the local community, while watching some fantastic players.
 
What? NT Live: A Midsummer Night's Dream - Screening
Where? Jersey Opera House, Gloucester Street, St. Helier, Jersey
When? 17th October 2019
Shakespeare’s most famous romantic comedy will be captured live from the Bridge Theatre in London. A feuding fairy King and Queen of the forest cross paths with four runaway lovers and a troupe of actors trying to rehearse a play. As their dispute grows, the magical royal couple meddle with mortal lives leading to love triangles, mistaken identities and transformations… with hilarious, but dark consequences.
 
What? Boo at the Zoo
Where? Jersey Zoo, Les Augres Manor, La Profonde Rue, Jersey
When? 25th – 26th October 2019
This Halloween, explore Jersey Zoo after dark to find out which ghosts and ghouls visit the grounds after the animals have gone to sleep! Enjoy a range of spooktacular crafts and activities. Meander the Trick or Treat Trail spied by nocturnal eyes. Eat, drink and be scary! Come in your scariest fancy dress and let your little monsters loose at these freaky, yet family-friendly events.
 
What? Jersey Bulls vs. Walton & Hersham
Where? Springfield Stadium, Jersey
When? 19th October 2019
Another chance to watch our incredible new football in team in action. The Jersey Bulls play off against Walton & Hersham for this match, and with some fierce competition in store, it’ll be a great atmosphere to experience. Bring the whole family and support the local sporting community.
