What? Barclays Jersey Boat Show 2019
Where? St. Helier Marina, New North Quay, Jersey
When? 4th – 6th May 2019
The Barclays Jersey Boat Show is the largest free-entry event in the Channel Islands and gets the boating season off to a great start. The 3-day show takes place in and around St. Helier Marina and adjacent Weighbridge Place. Featuring power and sail, side by side, it also offers a variety of Jersey lifestyle features as well as activities both on and off the water, food, entertainment on the main stage, free access to the pontoons and visiting Royal Navy vessels.
 
What? Castle Creatures - Discovery Day
Where? Mont Orgueil Castle, Castle Green, Gorey, Jersey
When? 12th May 2019
Did you know that Mont Orgueil Castle is one of only five places in Jersey where you can see Wall Lizards - and that we are the only place in the British Isles where they can be found? Head to Mont Orgueil to meet the experts and discover more about these tiny, fascinating reptiles. How many will you find hiding in the cracks and crevices of the Castle?
 
What? Liberation Day Celebrations
Where? Liberation Square, Jersey
When? 9th May 2019
The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied by German forces. The five-year occupation came to an end on 09 May 1945. Liberation Day, an event still celebrated in Jersey with an annual Bank Holiday, will once again bring that historic time to life with events taking place around Liberation Square, Royal Square and the Weighbridge.
 
What? #Love Nature Festival
Where? The Elms, La Chève Rue, Jersey
When? 15th – 17th May 2019
A celebration of the natural environment, habitats and landscapes managed by the National Trust for Jersey. The #LoveNature festival includes bat talks, bug safaris, orchid fields, rock pool rambles, walks around St. Ouen’s pond, coastal and inland foraging and bird tours.
 
What? Liberation International Music Festival - Liberation Concert
Where? Jersey Opera House, Gloucester Street, Jersey
When? 10th May 2019
Six international soloists celebrate the liberation of the Channel Islands in a night of stunning music and poignant personal stories about the occupation and liberation. Listen to exquisite playing by award winning artists in Schubert’s wonderful quintet and enjoy the genius and sublime melodies of Beethoven’s Archduke Trio. 
 
What? The 13th Parish Festival of Independent Film and Music
Where? Jersey Arts Centre, Philips Street, Jersey
When? 17th – 19th May 2019
The 13th Parish Festival is a new independent film and music festival, based in Jersey, but created in partnership with friends in every direction, happening at the Jersey Arts Centre in St Helier. They will be screening a range of brand new international films from their partners at Ireland's prestigious IndieCork Film Festival as well as showcasing work by film makers, musicians and other media artists from the Channel Islands.
 
What? Maker Week - May Half Term Activities

What? The Pirates of Penzance

One of Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular comic operas, it has entertained audiences down through the ages. It features the Pirates who have an unusual code of honour, battling it out against the motley force of Police who are ordered to put the Pirates dastardly deeds to an end.
