What? Le French Festival
Where? 5 Library Place, St. Helier, Jersey
When? 10th – 12th July 2019
Le French Festival is back! The six-day programme includes various events, among these are a juggling duo, a jazz ensemble, puppeteers, a petanque tournament and an opera live screening. Celebrating Jersey’s links with France, particularly with Normandy and Brittany.
 
What? Jersey Surf Film Festival
Where? Jersey Scout Centre, Grande Route des Mielles, Jersey
When? 11th – 12th July 2019
Jersey Surf Film Festival is a celebration of the sea, community and environment in St. Ouen´s Bay. There are art workshops, surf films, live music, campfire sessions, wild foraging, talks, delicious local food and it all takes place within Jersey's National Park. They screen films at various venues across the Bay and there is camping available at the Scout Hut or rooms for hire at the Far Flung Motel.
 
What? Jersey Style Awards 2019
Where? Royal Jersey Showground, La Grande Route De La Trinité, Jersey
When? 11th July 2019
Save the date for Jersey's most exciting red carpet night of the year - 11/07/2019 showcasing the best of what Jersey has to offer from the arts, culture, retail, tourism and style sectors. Plus a surprise international music act.
 
What? Reasons Festival 2019
Where? Coronation Park, Victoria Avenue, Jersey
When? 20th – 21st July 2019
'Reasons' is one of the Channel Island's best loved music events. Restricted to over 18s, the event features multiple stages in the beautiful surroundings of Coronation Park, and showcases local and international artists alike from genres as diverse as folk, reggae, funk, hip-hop, house, techno and drum & bass.
 
What? The Jersey Derby
Where? Les Landes Race Course, La Route de Grosnez, Jersey
When? 21st July 2019
The most prestigious race of the Channel Islands Season – The Jersey Derby – is the feature race of the season. Set in the picturesque coastal area of Grosnez you can enjoy the most beautiful uninterrupted views over the historic ruins of Grosnez Castle and the neighboring islands whilst seeing some of the very best horses in the Channel Islands race for the most important prize of the year.
 
What? Summer of Fun - Wild Garden Utopia
Where? Hamptonne Country Life Museum, La Rue de la Patente, Jersey
When? 29th – 31st July 2019
Walk, craft, build simple teepee constructions, and learn about the amazing things you can make from certain plants. Do something creative this holiday with Summer of Fun, a programme of activities every weekday of the summer holidays. No booking required. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
 
What? Archaeology Weekend
Where? Elizabeth Castle, St. Aubin’s Bay, Jersey
When? 13th – 14th July 2019
Archaeologists will be returning to Elizabeth Castle this summer to continue their work to undercover the history behind one of the island’s most iconic landmarks. Come and discover what the team have uncovered and learn about the history of the castle. The talks and tours are free but the normal entry fee applies.
 
What? Strand Hugg Concert
Where? 5 Gloucester St, St. Helier, Jersey
When? 11th July 2019
Festive marine folk and sea shanties. These three Norman sailor-musicians (from Granville, Normandy) interpret with their original arrangements, a repertoire of traditional songs, personal creations and a few covers of contemporary songs. Strand Hugg, in old noroît, refers to the landing of Vikings; on stage, it's a musical whirlwind!
