What? Alison Moyet at The Fort

Alison Moyet is music royalty. The Basildon girl shot to fame as part of synth duo Yazoo, and has been credited with reinventing British dance music. Her unique voice and ability to blend cool synthesised soundscapes with soul has helped carve out one of the most successful careers in British music. Fresh off a world tour, she will be performing in Jersey for one night only.

On a gentle guided walk through St. Helier learn the history of eating and drinking in Jersey. From bean crock, conger soup, Jersey Royal potatoes and the Jersey cow to the growth of restaurants in the post occupation tourism boom and the present day foodie scene. There will be architecture and social history, visits to the Victorian markets and restaurants. With tastings of Genuine Jersey oysters, black butter, cheese and more.

Take a walk on the wild side, and unleash your animal spirit to help raise funds for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. On Friday 15 February, they’re calling on their supporters, anywhere in the world to enjoy a day of wild activities and fundraise wildly for the world’s endangered species.
