The culinary scene in Jersey is expanding quickly - so much so that keeping up with all the newly opening restaurants, bars and places to go can become a full-time job.
Have no fear, however, because we’re here to tell you about the newest and best places to try on our beautiful island, and one that’s really blown up out of the water recently is the new “Off The Rails”.
Pay a visit with friends, family, colleagues, for date night, last minute get-togethers, or work meetings – this place is for everyone. With a chilled out atmosphere, stunning food served throughout the day, and such a wide range of drinks, both alcoholic and non, you’ll be impressed by what such a humble café can transform into.
The restaurant is attached to the elephant park on the railway walk and as such, families can access the locked park via the restaurant, then let the children play while the parents kick back and let their hair down.
Speaking to the Off The Rails team who recently had an extremely successful opening night, they told us about what they’ve created:
“We are all about taste, quality, value and community. We have a fab young super friendly team who just want to give a wonderful experience and relaxed dining. The food is based on authentic Italian and Spanish everyday food.
Our tapas menu is simple but outrageously tasty, our pizzas are sourdough but in the Italian style, we have a banging wine list that stands up with the big boys but is purposely priced at an accessible level for people who love great wine but don’t want to pay through the nose! We also have a gorgeous gin and cocktail menu.
In the next few weeks will be opening for all day brunch throughout the week and on Saturdays and Sunday’s we plan to make it a Mecca for mimosa drinking revellers to come and recharge. Takeaway menu for pizzas will also be starting shortly.”
It’s come a long way from what it was - the team are clearly passionate about what they do, and this is reflected in every part of the experience and the fact they already have 8 raving recommendations on their Facebook page.
