4 ways to re-energise in Jersey

4 ways to re-energise in Jersey

Experience the magic of winter in the fresh sea air

Nothing calms and relaxes more than time spent by the sea. With winter landscapes and sanctuary-style spa escapes all within easy reach, here are our favourite ways to experience the magic of a winter in Jersey.

Free the spirit
The buzz of city life can be great, but sometimes you need to break out from the everyday routine. When the crush of the city streets gets too much, escape to a few of our natural landscapes. Feel the beauty of Jersey’s wintry woodland walks and enjoy the sound of the wind across the sand of a deserted beach. Relax, breathe in the peace and tranquility and just enjoy being at one with nature.

Warm up
Time spent in nature is proven to relax the mind and lower the blood pressure. So after filling a sunny winter day with some time outside, retreat to one of our beach cafés to warm up with a hot chocolate or some winter comfort food. Cosy cafés like with their wood burning stove and modern classic menu offer a welcome chance to warm up and enjoy the company of friends and family - with the pleasure of a nearby beach walk afterwards.

Get your perspective
Winter coastal light produces the most dramatic of landscapes here in Jersey. Wrap up warm and plan to be outside at the golden hours just before sunset where the setting sun reflects on sea and sand to produce unique photo opportunities. From southerly St. Brelade’s Bay to the classic sunset views from west-facing St. Ouen’s Bay, head to the open landscapes and create your own winter masterpiece.

Freedom to explore
Jersey’s safe cycling routes mean the island’s easily explored on two wheels - even in the winter. Hire bikes and feel the freedom of the open road to explore the coastline and countryside. From beachside cycle paths to coastal routes and winding woodland trails that lead you to stunning sea views, and all with plenty of cafés and country pubs to stop at, explore the island at your own pace.
